What is Populis Create?
Create is a system where supply and demand meet: you love writing, we need what you write!
With Create you can choose your topics of interest and send us your articles; if approved, they will be published within the Populis Media network. With Create, you decide how much you want to write and on what subjects. And you can do so wherever you are based.

Can I submit my application? Are there any specific requirements?
Anyone who is over 18 can apply.
If you are an experienced writer, we would like you to send us a few samples and tell us what your topics of interest are (you can also send us a short sample text).
If you have never written for a website before, you might still be selected to join our staff – all you need to do is send us a short sample on a subject of your choice.

How do I apply?
Visit our website (http://www.populis.com/create) and click on Apply Now. Then register by providing the details required. Your application will be examined and if it is accepted you will receive your login details and a user guide.

Where will the articles be published?
The articles will be published within the Populis Media network, which comprises a large number of sites, in addition to generalist and vertical portals. For a comprehensive list, please visit http://www.populis.com/brands

Will my articles include a by-line?
Initially, no articles will include by-lines.
At a later stage, outstanding contributors will have their by-lines published.

Will there be specific quality standards the articles must adhere to?
Each article must follow our editorial guidelines and specific rules regarding minimum and maximum number of words, number of keywords and links to be included, etc. All details will be communicated to you once your application has been accepted. Every article will be checked by a supervisor before being published. The article is also checked to make sure it does not include any content that has been copied from the web (even in part).

If I write for Populis, can I also send my articles to other companies or is the contract exclusive?
The contract is not exclusive, so you can continue writing for other companies as well. However, the articles you write for Populis cannot be used in any way or on other sites.

Is there a minimum and/or maximum number of articles to submit per week/month?
No, you decide. Obviously, there might be a limit to the number of articles available for a certain topic, so if you wish to write more you might have to choose a different topic.

Will I be paid? How much?
Of course you will be paid! The amount depends on how much you write and on the topic you write about. There will be topics that are “worth” more or are more complex, which will usually pay more, and easier subjects, which will pay less. And obviously it depends on how many articles you submit. The choice is yours.

How will I be paid? Do I need a bank account?
You don’t need a bank account, but you do need a Paypal account. When you register for Populis Create you need to use the same email address you have used to register for Paypal. You will be paid on a weekly basis, but only once you have accrued at least €15. Otherwise you will be paid the following week.
