Luca Ascani
(Co-Founder & Chairman) Luca launched buycentral.it in 2000 as the Italian subsidiary of a French shopping comparison site. The company was sold to the German group Lycos in 2004. In 2002, he launched ADVance and as it’s Chairman drove it to become one of the top web agencies in Italy, subsequently selling it to Netbooster. Luca was also co-founder and shareholder of First Tuesday Italy, a company involved in the organization of seminars and meetings on Financial and Net Economy topics.

Salvatore Esposito
(Co-Founder & CEO) Gained his Degree in Business & Finance in 1999. Salvatore started his career as an internet consultant for small & medium enterprises within a project financed by the IBM Italia Foundation. He then held various directorial roles in Internet marketing and advertising with BuyCentral, LookSmart and Altavista. After his experience as Managing Director of Web Agency ADVance, he Co-Founded GoAdv.

Giovanni Fantasia
Managing Director & Group COO With over 15 years experience in the internet, technology and management consultancy sectors as well as solid experience as a strategic, operational hands-on general manager, Giovanni is responsible for Populis’s overall operations including; Marketing & Sales, Product, Technology, R&D/Innovation and HR. Previously Group Vice President of Sales at AutoScout24 (Deutsche Telekom Group), and CEO of the Italian subsidiary. He worked for 5 years at McKinsey & Co as a Management Consultant and 5 years at Hewlett-Packard as R&D project manager, later as Business Development manager. He started his career in the IBM research centre in 1992. Giovanni holds a degree in Computer Science, a master degree in Information Engineering and attended an MBA concluding with an internal McKinsey MBA.

John Slyne
Managing Director & Group CFO John has extensive experience in corporate, operational and commercial environments and was previously Financial Consultant to the successful Irish internet company, Web Reservations International Ltd owners of hostelworld.com and boo.com. He was General Manager and VP of Finance at World Avenue Data Solutions, an interactive marketing firm that helps Global 2000 companies achieve customer acquisition and revenue goals, and has held roles as Treasurer, Director of Planning and European Financial Controller at Artesyn Technologies, a Nasdaq listed company acquired by Emerson Electric in 2006. John holds an MBA from the Henley Business School, University of Reading and is a Fellowship Member of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants.
